On Tuesday, 6 December, Senator Chris Steineger will deliver a public lecture and conduct a discussion entitled:

 

The Rise of the Conservative Movement and its Impact on U.S. Presidential Elections

Mr. Steineger has been a member of the Kansas State Senate for the past thirteen years. During that time he has served as the Senate minority leader. Senator Steineger also has served as a staff member in the U.S. House of Representatives, as an Assistant in the City Administration of Kansas City, Kansas, and as a tax auditor with the Kansas Department of Revenue.

 

Senator Steineger’s public policy focuses include early childhood education, health-care restruc-turing, and health-care coverage for all Kansans. He has travelled widely, studying Japanese agriculture, food manufacturing and marketing. In 2006 he studied European health-care systems in Brussels on an EU Fellowship. In 2007 Mr. Steineger lectured on American government, politics, elections and campaigns at the Chinese Foreign Relations University in Beijing. During the same year he studied energy and health care in Israel as a Fellow of the American Jewish Committee Project Interchange.
